Question by childcareprovider: Is having sex the night before giving a semen sample after a vasectomy ok?
My husband and I have been having sex on and off this month. We had sex June 13, 15, 19, 20.
Yesterday, the 20th, at around 3 pm he gave a sample to the clinic to test if there were any sperm left. We did have sex the night before.
Would that matter? Im finding information on the web that says to wait 2-3 days from having sex and then give a sample.
Should we take another one? The sample we gave yesterday came back negative. Would that be ok that we just keep the one we gave, or should we wait 2-3 days and give another? Would it matter?

the nurse called back and said that the sample we provided was border line for the amount she needed to test, but that she wouldnt think that we needed to replace it. She said next time to wait the 2-3 days without sex before giving one. But in my opinion, I dont think we need to give another. It came out negative, the next one will too.
