Question by Wizard: What is supposed to happen the first time a woman has sex?

my bf and i decided to have sex for the first time the other day, prior to this i didnt tell him i was vigin, and he didnt ask, well i enjoyed but its got me a little confused, arent virgins supposed to bleed and hurt the first few times? i did neither, and now im confused
